This is Angela’s third solo exhibition at the Tanks.  Angela’s amazing art work combines both European and Eastern traditions with a dramatic and colorful touch.

This exhibition Heart of stone: rock of ages is an observation of the historical and the everyday. Angela responds to the paintings of Michelangelo’s Flood, The Fall and The Creation. Angela also playfully appropriates Gericault’s Raft of the Medusa and Da Vinci’s Virgin of the Rocks.

Shi Tao’s paintings are also reflected in Angela’s work, Shi Tao being famous for using gestural lines and forms to express his value of innovation and freedom. This is a free event, a definite must see exhibition held at a fantastic venue – the Tanks Art Centre.
